Open to all former students of any age. So dust off that Gi and re-awaken that spirit that has been restlessly dormant. Get back in the Dojo!

Dojo Captain
Congratulations to the new Dojo Captain: Rulce Raphael and Co-Captain: Diane O’Connell! They were elected to server the Dojo in 2010.
Dojo Raffle
We are holding a raffle to benefit the Dojo Fund. The prizes, donated by Stephanie Targett are a 1st: A set of Men’s Cuff Links (Stainless Steel & 14K Gold), 2nd: A Ladies’ Ring (Sterling Silver & Smokey Quartz), 3rd: A $100 gift certificate to Taj Tandoor in Deer Park. Tickets are $5 each, or 3 for $10. Drawing to be held at a later date. A 4th prize was donated by Mike Visgauss, a $100 Gift Certificate to Nico’s in Islip. Photos of the prizes are available on the web site.
Dojo Cleaning
Sensei announced that there will be a special meeting in January to clean the Dojo. More details and a date will follow.
2010 Schedule

Makiwara
Please be careful when using the Makiwara, there is a crack in the wood. This will be repaired shortly.
Kicking Bag
We are looking into getting a new kicking bag for the Dojo.
Special Training
Location for January – The Spring Special Training will be held at the Mt. Kisco Dojo. We are looking into having a future Special Training at Farmingdale University.
Bring back former students
We will have a drive to contact and bring back former students. If you are interested in calling former students please see the Captain, Rulce.
Events
There was a request that we hold some different events this year to build Dojo spirit. Possibly including friends and families of Karateka. If you have any ideas for events or would like to volunteer to help organize an event, please see the Captain, Rulce.
Superbowl Pool
It is almost that time of year again. We will have a Superbowl 50/50 Pool this year, with proceeds to benefit the Dojo fund. Look for the big board soon.

If you have any photos, stories, or other things you’d like to see on the web site let me know.
