  <content>&lt;h3&gt;Dojo Captain&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;Congratulations to the new Dojo Captain: &lt;b&gt;Rulce Raphael&lt;/b&gt; and Co-Captain: &lt;b&gt;Diane O&#8217;Connell&lt;/b&gt;!  They were elected to server the Dojo in 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Dojo Raffle&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;We are holding a raffle to benefit the Dojo Fund.  The prizes, donated by Stephanie Targett are a 1st: A set of Men&#8217;s Cuff Links (Stainless Steel &amp; 14K Gold), 2nd: A Ladies&#8217; Ring (Sterling Silver &amp; Smokey Quartz), 3rd: A $100 gift certificate to Taj Tandoor in Deer Park.  Tickets are $5 each, or 3 for $10.  Drawing to be held at a later date.  A 4th prize was donated by Mike Visgauss, a $100 Gift Certificate to Nico&#8217;s in Islip.  Photos of the prizes are available on the web site.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Dojo Cleaning&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;Sensei announced that there will be a special meeting in January to clean the Dojo.  More details and a date will follow.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;2010 Schedule&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;A schedule of all of the events for 2010 will be published shortly.  This way you can plan ahead for the Dojo picnic, Beach Training(s), Holiday Party,&#8230;&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Makiwara&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;Please be careful when using the Makiwara, there is a crack in the wood.  This will be repaired shortly.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Kicking Bag&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;We are looking into getting a new kicking bag for the Dojo.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Special Training&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;Location for January &#8211; The Spring Special Training will be held at the Mt. Kisco Dojo.  We are looking into having a future Special Training at Farmingdale University.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Bring back former students&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;We will have a drive to contact and bring back former students.  If you are interested in calling former students please see the Captain, Rulce.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Events&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;There was a request that we hold some different events this year to build Dojo spirit.  Possibly including friends and families of Karateka.  If you have any ideas for events or would like to volunteer to help organize an event, please see the Captain, Rulce.&lt;/p&gt;
             
            &lt;h3&gt;Superbowl Pool&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;It is almost that time of year again.  We will have a Superbowl 50/50 Pool this year, with proceeds to benefit the Dojo fund.  Look for the big board soon.&lt;/p&gt;
            
            &lt;h3&gt;Web Site&lt;/h3&gt;
            &lt;p&gt;The Dojo website is a good place to keep up with what is going on in the Dojo.  The home page has up-to-date bulletins. If you have any photos, stories, or other things you&#8217;d like to see on the web site let me know. You can see the web site at: http://www.takahashidojo.com/
